Nutrition & Fitness
Students will be able to calculate the amount of calories they burn while doing various exercises for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Students will complete a formal assessment of the wellness unit within the alloted class period.
Students will increase their cardiovascular endurance by walking 2.8 miles twice a week.

Ed Careers
Students will describe the various abilities/disabilities of students in their future classroom and list accomodations that they can provide.
Students will increase their understanding about the career of education by interning in an elementary classroom.

Teaching Academy
Students will identify and evaluate strategies that will benefit learners with special needs.
Students will list & define aspects of student diversity that impact the classroom learning environment.
Students will learn about the laws and research impacting the way schools address diversity issues, such as mainstreaming, bilingual education and holdiay celebrations.
